Andrei VillarroelAndrei Villarroel is on the faculty of The Lisbon MBA and Católica-Lisbon School of Business and Economics. He’s also been appointed International Faculty Fellow at MIT Sloan School of Management and Visiting Scholar at the MIT Center for Collective Intelligence. His research focuses on the effective organization of open and distributed approaches to work and innovation beyond the formal boundaries of the firm, also referred to as ‘strategic crowdsourcing’ (In “Leading Open Innovation”, MIT Press).  He was recognized with two consecutive Best Paper Awards, in 2006 and 2007, from the North American Association for Computational Social and Organizational Science (NAACSOS). In 2008, he was awarded a research fellowship from the Swiss National Science Foundation.  He holds a PhD in management of technology and entrepreneurship from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL) and a master of science from Carnegie Mellon University (CMU).
